Brazil shipped some 58.3 million pairs of shoes, worth $480.7 million, in the first half of 2019, according to the Brazilian footwear-industry association, Abicalçados. Compared with the same period of 2018, this represents an increase in volume of 5.3 percent, but a decrease in value of 1.3 percent.
